Organic German Bakeshop is a unit of Brown Bread Bakery in Delhi, producing a wide range of fresh bakery products, mainly German and Italian recipes, along with a variety of packed foods. Our Varanasi branch specializes in packed food production, creating employment opportunities for school mothers and empowering them to improve their family’s economic condition and self-esteem. All our staff members are provided with fair working conditions and free healthcare.
Promoting Sustainable Eating
At Organic German Bakeshop, we believe in promoting sustainable and responsible eating by using locally sourced ingredients, minimizing food waste, and encouraging conscious consumption. Our focus is on crafting wholesome, preservative-free bakery items that align with our commitment to the environment and community well-being.
Our Suppliers
We work closely together with several small farmers in the Himalayas. We supply them with organic grains and guarantee to buy the whole harvest at rates above the market rates.
Our cheese mainly comes from Manali in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh from an Indian and Italian joint venture. They use milk from small farmers, who still live with their cows and buffalos in the mountainous regions of Himachal Pradesh in the same way they have done for centuries.
Our main supplier for agricultural products is the Ahana Farm in Uttar Pradesh. They supply the majority of our grains and pulse.
Vocational Training
We have partnered with three Delhi shelter homes to offer free bakery vocational training to 18-year-old boys and girls, equipping them with practical skills for a secure future after leaving the shelter. For eligible trainees, we also facilitate German language learning and advanced preparation for Ausbildung (vocational training programs in Germany).
